Composition
The use of quality materials and precise manufacturing controls ensure long service life in normal industrial and domestic applications.

All Insulated Door Panels conform to the Building Regulations requirements for Industrial Doors, and the durability of finishes are those specified by Arcelor technical specifications department.

Outer and inner sheet steel

• 0.5mm hot-dip galvanised steel to BS EN 10147: 1992 (specification for continuously hot-dip zinc-coated structural
  steel sheet and strip) grade Fe E220G, coating weight 275g/m2
• Core: 39mm and 79mm thick rigid polyurethane foam, density 40kg/m3
• Seal: Low density compressible foam, factory applied. Outer and inner sheet aluminium
• 0.6mm thick aluminium grade 3004H44 to both sides.

Pilot hole is pre drilled for 2 of the 4 fixing points and the fasteners must be positioned as shown to ensure the hinge fixings locate into the internal reinforcement strip.

NB: Doors above 2500mm are constructed from normal industrial panels.

Thermal bow
Due to the excellent thermal properties of our door panels, consideration needs to be given to the temperature differential that exists between the internal and external faces.
The effect known as thermal bow is of no concern in terms of
structural performance.

It does however require consideration on clearance and deflection. For application for wide doors and dark colours please contact our technical department.

Durability
The use of high quality materials and precise process control means that long service life can be expected in most industrial
and commercial applications.

Colours and finishes
Steel outer sheet: can be finished in Plastisol or Architectural Polyester. Plastisol colours have a leather grain finish. Polyester finishes are all stucco embossed as standard.

Aluminium outer skin: mill finish, stucco embossed as standard. Colour availability subject
to minimum volume.

Inner skin: finished in white, polyester coated, stucco embossed galvanised steel as standard. A separate list and sample swatch of the current colour

Fire resistance
The facing materials used on composite panels, when tested independently, have a Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS 476: Part 7: 1971, and Class 0 as defined by the Building Regulations1985. Thermal comparison Traditional insulated roller shutter door insulated door panel 40mm

Thermal Comparison

Areas indicated where door is un insulated and subject to cold bridging.

This can be up to 30% of the door area. Also thinner
layer of insulation.

Insulation is afforded to the whole door area – even at joints.
