Specifications :- Insulated Sectional Doors.
Composition
The use of quality materials
and precise manufacturing
controls ensure long
service life in normal
industrial and domestic
applications. All our
Insulated Door Panels
conform to the Building
Regulations requirements
for Industrial Doors, and
the durability of finishes are
those specified by us.

subject to quantity and
availability.
Thermal bow
Due to the excellent
thermal properties of our
door panels, consideration
needs to be given to the
temperature differential that
exists between the internal
and external faces.
The effect known as
thermal bow is of no
concern in terms of
structural performance.
It does however require
consideration on clearance
and deflection. For application for wide
doors and dark colours
please contact our
technical department.
Durability
The use of high quality
materials and precise
process control means that
long service life can be
expected in most industrial
and commercial
applications. Further
information on the durability
of coatings can be obtained
from our Customer
Services department.
Colours and finishes
Steel outer sheet:
can be finished in Plastisol
or Architectural Polyester.
Plastisol colours have a
leathergrain finish.
Polyester finishes are all
stucco embossed as
standard.
Aluminium outer skin:
mill finish, stucco
embossed as standard.
Colour availability subject
to minimum volume.
Inner skin:
finished in white, polyester
coated, stucco embossed
galvanised steel as standard.

Fire resistance
The facing materials used
on composite panels, when
tested independently, have
a Class 1 surface spread of
flame to BS 476: Part 7:
1971, and Class 0 as
defined by the Building
Regulations1985.

Firesafe/Ecosafe
Our Door Panels are now
Polyisocyanurate [PIR] as
standard. Whilst PIR belongs
to the same chemical family
as, the industry standard,
Polyurethane [PUR] its’ polymer structure delivers
enhanced fire performance
characteristics such as being
more difficult to ignite and
self-extinguishing.
In addition we would also
highlight the inherent environmental benefits of our
Door Panel such as being
HFC, CFC and HCFC and of
Zero ODP in line with the
Montreal Protocol. Also, by
virtue of the blowing agent
used in manufacture the
insulation core exhibits a
Low Global Warming Potential [less than 5].
Pursuant to the ideology of
Sustainable Construction we
would also recommend our
80mm thick PIR Panel which
provides an
installed/complete door U
value of just 0.54 W/m2K
whilst also being eminently
suitable for coldstore and
chillstore applications.
The
Panel can manage
temperature differences of
40 degrees and is available
with a White Foodsafe
Laminate Liner at a small
cost premium and subject to
minimum quantities.
